The purpose of CRIAA SA-DC is to support sustainable and democratic development in Southern Africa through:

· Strengthening the capacities of national, regional and local operating bodies including government departments, local authorities, non-governmental organisations, and producers' organisations in the private sector (including co-operatives)

· Contributing to the capacity of marginalised communities or members of society to improve their livelihoods.

CRIAA SA - DC in Namibia undertakes applied research and consultancies in programme and project appraisal, monitoring, evaluation and management in the following sectors:

Agricultural and Rural Development, Post-Harvest Research and Development Botanical Resources - Linking Producers and Markets

Primary Producers’ Issues - from Natural Resource Management to Sustainable Utilisation

Informal Sector, Small-Scale Industry, Technology and Skills Development - Producers’ Organisation - Capacity Building and Co-operative Development
